In order to love who you are, you cannot hate the experiences that shaped you.
-Andrea Dykstra
There's no handbook or manual on how to love yourself. I could sit here and tell you that it's easy and that at the end of the process you'll be satisfied with life but that's not the case. Loving who are is not an easy task. If you're serious about loving yourself then you have to be willing to accept every flaw that encompasses you. Like the old saying goes "Rome wasn't built in a day", so this journey is gonna take some time but that's perfect because there's no rush. You set the pace for your personal growth.
Remember, while on this non-stop flight to self- love make time to enjoy your own company. Being alone is scary, so scary that if you try it you might actually like it. In moments of solitude, you learn a lot about yourself and you come to appreciate every mistake you've ever made. A part of growing as an individual is finding sunshine in clouds of rain, making the best out of bad situations. Once you can accept every great thing and crappy thing that's ever happened to you then you've cracked the code to loving yourself. Love yourself so much that you show others how to treat you, respect you, and communicate with you.
No one said this would be a cake walk but you knew what you were getting into when you began to put action behind becoming successful. The moment you knew you wanted more for yourself, you made the choice that you're life would go from ordinary to EXTRA-ordinary. Everything starts with YOU. Stop letting yourself get in the way of achieving more. You hold the keys to your own success, all you have to do is unlock the door (no secret password, no special knock).
