It's nice to see August back in the music scene.
5 years ago, Alsina released the album titled This Thing Called Life while dealing with major health complications which took him out the game for a hot minute.
This year August is doing a lot better physically and just dropped some much needed music for his fans while in quarantine.
The album titled The Product III: stateofEMERGEncy shows fans the truest and most vulnerable sides of August as he journeyed through the past years dealing with the loss of his brother, becoming a father to his nieces, and suffering from major health problems.

August took to Instagram to strategically drop each song from his 3rd studio album throughout the span of a week, accompanying each song drop with a snippet of his upcoming documentary.

The goal of this project is to expose myself through the art and to help others reveal their true selves. Go back into the past, bring it into the present and positively impact our future. I want to show the community that we’ve all had to overcome some type of obstacle. Some greater than others, but pain is pain...and pain and its threshold is subjective and different for each individual.
