Yara Shahidi is giving us real Boss-ish vibes!
According to Deadline, Yara Shahidi has inked an overall deal with ABC Studios to "develop and produce scripted and alternative television projects for cable, streaming and broadcast."

Yara stars in ABC's hit show Black-ish and it's spin-off show show Grown-ish (via Freeform). Her role on Grown-ish is more than just playing an eccentric college student; Yara is also an executive produce on the Freeform show.
The dynamic mother and daughter duo, Yara and Keri Shahidi have also launched their own production company called 7th Sun.
"The company will be based at ABC Studios, a part of Disney Television Studios."
In an effort to elevate underrepresented voices, 7th Sun's mission is to "pursue projects that touch upon themes of history, heritage, culture, and joy.", Deadline reports.
In a statement from Forbes , the President of ABC Studios, Jonnie Davis shared his excitement for the new deal with Shahidi.
“We can’t wait to extend and expand our relationship with the incredibly talented Yara Shahidi, who has been a member of the family since black-ish. When she’s not studying at Harvard and starring in our series grown-ish, she’s mentoring and inspiring other young people, which makes us all feel like underachievers but also very proud that she’s part of our studio,”
Fans are looking forward to what the future holds for Shahidi and her overall deal with ABC Studios.
