If you and your crew can't go to homecoming, then where can you go?

SWAC has officially announced that all fall sports have been postponed due to the increased risk of COVID-19.

The Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC) is the most top ranked HBCU conference in the country with the highest number of HBCU alumni athletes that go off to play for professional sports teams.

HBCU alumni like @_ttonthemic are wondering if there will be a "Springcoming/Homefest" due to the postponement of all Fall sporting events.

Homecoming is typically held during football season in the fall and Springfest is held during the middle of spring sports season but since there will be no football season this fall, it's a possibility that schools may combine the two major events when SWAC sports return post-pandemic.

According to Swac.org , the fall sports impacted include men and women's cross country, football, women's soccer, and women's volleyball.

Fortunately, student-athletes will have the opportunity to practice, condition and participate in strength training in preparation for the spring 2021 competitive schedule once they return to campus.

Here's a statement from the official SWAC website; Swac.org

"The SWAC shares in the disappointment that will undoubtedly be felt by student-athletes, fans, and supporters impacted by the postponement of fall sports competition."
