I.C.E Gives Foreign Students an Ultimatum
U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement released a statement Monday stating that foreign students attending U.S. colleges that are operating online this fall, cannot remain in this country.

International students are faced with an uncomfortable decision to make when planning their upcoming semester-- Do they attend face to face classes in midst of a pandemic or take them online in a different country?
Unfortunately, foreign students that attend colleges who have already declared that the fall semester will be online, have no choice but to take online classes outside of the U.S.
According to NPR,
"Under the new rules, the State Department will not issue them visas, and U.S. Customs and Border Protection will not allow them to enter the country".
A release from I.C.E's Student Exchange and Visitors program stated-- "Active students currently in the United States enrolled in such programs must depart the country or take other measures, such as transferring to a school with in-person instruction to remain in lawful status"
Hair Love to Young Love Series with HBO-Max
Matthew A. Cherry-- A former NFL player turned director and author, is the creator behind Oscar-winning animated short Hair Love.
The tear jerker short is now a 12-episode animated tv series titled Young Love with HBO-Max.

Hair Love is about the relationship between an African American father, Stephen, learning how to do his daughter Zuri's hair.
Young Love will take a further look into the lives of the millennial parents Stephen and Angela, their daughter Zuri and her pet cat 'Rocky'. The 12 episode season will explore the struggles this family faces in their marriage, career's, parenthood, social issues, and multi-generational dynamics while trying to make a better life for themselves.
So far, there's no exact release date for the series but fingers crossed it comes out sooner than later!

This years Blackout Day drew national attention as celebrities and social media influencers encouraged their large followings to BUY BLACK.
The Black community encouraged one another through social media to spend no money at all or if you need to purchase something, only open your wallet for Black businesses.
The purpose of Blackout Day was to bring attention to the impact the Black dollar has on the economy and how different our country would look without the participation of Black consumers.
Disney World Theme Parks Reopening
In spite of the COVID-19 cases rising in Florida, Disney World theme parks are set to start a phased reopening this weekend.
The most magical place on earth is allowing visitors to return to a more modified version of the theme park while other parts of the park will remain closed.

According to the New York Times, the Florida Health Department recorded a number of 9,989 cases of Coronavirus in Florida and 1,251 of those cases are in Orlando, FL.
Disney's Magic Kingdom and Animal Kingdom will open July 11th. As for EPCOT and Hollywood Studios, they are set to reopen July 15th.
According to CNBC's Andrew Ross Sorkin, the Disney company stock has been down 20% this year and has a lot riding on the reopening of their theme parks.
Disney has placed safety measures such as temperature screenings, park capacity, social-distancing in lines for rides and dining restrictions.

Simone Biles Graces the Cover of Vogue
In the August issue of Vogue, Olympic gold medalist Simone Biles is standing up and speaking out!

The 23-year old gymnast has experienced a lot of ups and downs over the last few years and is ready to ready to share her story with the world. Biles talks about being a role model in the Black community, speaking out against the Nassar sexual abuse scandal, and her journey to success in the August issue of Vogue.
Her infectious personality and effortless gymnastic talents has brought an enormous amount of fame and attention her way. With all eyes on her, Biles has received a lot of love but also hate from people early on in her career.
Despite the haters, Simone has pushed past the negative comments and is focused on encouraging other young Black gymnasts behind her.
