Transparent, Quick-Witted, and Dynamic

With a personality that could fill the room, Mr. Jordan Foster leaves his impression on people wherever he goes.

Jordan Foster is a proud graduate of Prairie View A&M University and currently works as a multimedia journalist for KENS 5 News in San Antonio, Texas.

Coming all the way from the Triple-D (Dallas, TX), Jordan found his home away from home at PVAMU. As a senior in college, Jordan realized that he needed internships to help him get to his goal of becoming a journalist in the news industry.

While interning at Houston's ABC 13 News station, Jordan faced many challenges. The environment was fast-paced, exciting, yet overwhelming at times because the other interns beside Jordan had more experience interning than he did, so this began to intimidate him.

Jordan never allowed his lack of experience to defeat him; instead, he continued to run his own race and find opportunities for himself. By the time Jordan had graduated from Prairie View, he had successfully secured and participated in 4 internships.

The Saints fan from Texas was determined to keep winning. Shortly after graduation, Jordan took his talents to KBMT/KJAC in Beaumont, Texas. Being his first job, Jordan experienced some hiccups here and there, but he believes that his mistakes make him the professional that he is today,

"Growth is inevitable if you put in the hard work".

Jordan reminded our class that, to become better at your craft, you must have a drive and thick skin,

"Be prepared for the no's, and don't think that you will be perfect when you're first starting, but remind yourself of where you want to be and put in the hard work and dedication to get there".

Thank you, Jordan, for putting us up on game and remaining transparent throughout the Zoom lecture.

I appreciate you taking the time to share your tips and life lessons with myself and fellow PV panthers.
